How to Use the Palworld Breeding Calculator

  1. Choose Parent A: Search for and select the first Pal you want to use.
  2. Choose Parent B: Select the second parent from the searchable Pal list.

  4. Review the child Pal: Check the offspring name and any supporting breeding information displayed with the result.

How Palworld Breeding Results Are Determined

Standard Breeding-Power Calculation

For ordinary combinations, each Pal has an internal breeding value or breeding rank. The game creates a target value from the two parents and selects an eligible child close to that value.

The standard calculation is commonly represented as:

Target breeding value = floor((Parent A value + Parent B value + 1) ÷ 2)

The game then matches that target with an eligible Pal in its breeding data. A calculator performs this lookup automatically, so players do not need to compare hidden breeding values manually. Current calculators must use version-compatible game data because the available Pals, ranks, and eligible results can change between major updates.

A lower or higher breeding value should not be interpreted as the Pal’s combat level. It is an internal value used to determine the species of the offspring.

Special Breeding Combinations

Some parent pairs do not follow the normal breeding-power result. These are fixed or special breeding combinations that produce a particular Pal.

A reliable Palworld breeding combinations calculator must check special pairings before applying the standard breeding-value calculation. Otherwise, it may display an incorrect child for an exception-based combination.

Some combinations may also have gender-specific requirements. When gender affects the outcome, the calculator should show the required male and female parent clearly rather than presenting the pair as interchangeable. Same-Species Breeding

Breeding two compatible Pals of the same species normally produces that same species. This can be useful when refining stats, transferring passive skills, or producing more copies of a Pal you already own.

However, obtaining the correct species does not guarantee a specific passive-skill combination. Species calculation and passive inheritance are separate parts of the breeding process.

Reverse search can save time when a target Pal has several possible parent combinations. Instead of checking pairs individually, you can compare the available options with the Pals already in your Palbox.

Choose a pair based on more than availability. Consider:

  • Whether you own the required male and female Pals
  • Which parents already carry useful passive skills
  • How difficult each parent is to catch or produce
  • Whether the result is a standard or special combination
  • Whether another generation is required before reaching your target

If ConvixPro does not currently provide an automatic breeding chain calculator, repeat the reverse lookup one generation at a time. Select a required parent as your new target, find a pair that produces it, and continue until you reach Pals you already own.

Breeding Chains and Passive Skills

A direct parent pair may produce the correct species, but it may not be the best route for transferring passive skills.

For example, a player may first breed an intermediate Pal carrying the desired passive and then use that Pal as a parent for the final target. This creates a multi-generation breeding chain.

Passive skills from either parent may pass to the offspring, but inheritance is not the same as the species calculation. Palworld 1.0 also introduced additional Cake types and mutation-related breeding mechanics, which can affect stats, egg production or inheritance behavior.

Unless the tool includes a confirmed passive-skill planner, use it to identify species combinations only. Do not interpret a valid parent pair as a guarantee that the child will inherit every desired passive.

This is the Pal species expected from the selected parents under the supported database version.

Parent Combination Type

The result may come from:

  • The normal breeding-power calculation
  • A fixed special combination
  • Two parents of the same species

Knowing the combination type helps explain why a result may differ from a simple breeding chart.

Paldeck Information

A Paldeck number can help distinguish standard Pals from elemental variants with similar names. Use the full Pal name and variant, not only its base species name.

Version Compatibility

The same parent pair may not always produce the same result after a major game update. Confirm that the calculator supports the version you are currently playing before committing resources to a long breeding chain.

Palworld 1.0 Version and Database Accuracy

Palworld officially reached version 1.0 in July 2026. The update added new Pals and introduced significant gameplay and breeding-related changes, including mutation and new Cake effects.

The calculator should display the following information close to the tool:

Before Using the Combination In-Game

A calculator identifies the expected species, but breeding still has to be completed inside Palworld.

  • A Breeding Farm
  • One compatible male Pal
  • One compatible female Pal
  • Cake placed in the Breeding Farm
  • An Egg Incubator for the resulting egg

The Breeding Farm accepts one male and one female Pal, and Cake is required for egg production. Once the egg is created, it can be moved to an Egg Incubator for hatching.

Common Problems and Solutions

The Calculator Shows No Result

Make sure both parent fields contain valid Pal selections. Do not type only part of a Pal name without selecting it from the search results.

Refresh the page and repeat the selection if the tool interface does not update correctly.

My In-Game Result Is Different

First compare your game version with the calculator’s supported version. An outdated database is one of the most important causes of conflicting breeding results after a major update.

Also check the full names of elemental variants. For example, a standard Pal and its Noct, Cryst, Ignis, Lux, Botan, Aqua or Terra variant may have different breeding data.

Reverse Search Does Not List a Combination

Some Pals may have restricted, same-species or fixed breeding requirements. Others may not be obtainable through ordinary cross-species breeding.

The absence of a normal parent pair does not necessarily mean the calculator is broken.

I Produced the Correct Pal but Not the Right Passive Skills

The parent combination determines the expected species. Passive inheritance involves separate breeding mechanics and is not guaranteed by the species result.
